We provide SharePoint guidance and prioritize important compliance tasks.

How we make Implement SharePoint Compliance

We help our clients best to manage risks, protect their data, and remain compliant with regulations and standards. Employees are now collaborating and connecting with each other in new ways, and this means our client’s existing compliance processes and controls must always be adaptable. Identifying and managing these new compliance risks within an organization is critical to safeguarding data and minimizing threats and risks.

What happens?

After we’ve completed these compliance tasks we always recommend our clients expand compliance coverage in their organization by implementing additional Microsoft 365 compliance solutions.

  1. We configure our client’s compliance permissions.
  2. We learn and understand our client’s state of compliance.
  3. We enable auditing for our client’s organization.
  4. We create policies to alert our clients about potential compliance issues.
  5. We classify and protect sensitive data.
  6. We configure our client’s retention policies
  7. We configure sensitive information and offensive language policies.
  8. We research what’s happening with our client’s sensitive items.

Data access Governance Reports

As security and compliance requirements increase across industries and the amount of business data grows exponentially, organizations need tools to help govern their data. We established data access governance reports with our clients. These reports provide info that helps our clients govern access to SharePoint data. The reports also help our clients discover sites that contain potentially overshared or sensitive content. Our clients then use these reports to assess and apply appropriate security and compliance policies.

Information barriers help strengthen access, sharing, and membership of a site based on its IB mode and segments associated with the site.

Information barriers are policies in Microsoft 365 that a compliance admin can configure to prevent users from communicating and collaborating with each other. This implementation is useful to our clients as it helps prevent or isolates users from collaborating with all users outside of the organization. We often implement Information Barriers in highly regulated industries and those organizations with compliance requirements, such as finance, legal, and government.

For SharePoint, we implement Information Barriers to determine and prevent the following kinds of unauthorized collaborations:

  • Adding a user to a site.
  • User access to a site or site content.
  • Sharing a site or site content with other users.

SharePoint Benefits

SharePoint authentication

We walk our clients through how the each authentication scenario works using either their own Identity Provider (IdP) or the default Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) IdP.

Safeguarding SharePoint Data

We assist clients with the rollout of two-factor authentication, starting with global admins, and then other admins and site collection admins.

Unmanaged Devices

We guide clients through limiting access which allows users to remain productive while addressing the risk of accidental data loss on unmanaged devices.

Network Location-Based Security

We also guide our clients throuh access control to SharePoint resources in Microsoft 365 based on defined network locations that the client trusts. This is also known as location-based policy.

Why SharePoint?

Microsoft SharePoint

Managing site creation for SharePoint in Microsoft 365

We guide our clients through determining what kind of sites they need to create, and specify the location of the sites.

Retention Policies

Our clients are set up to comply proactively with industry regulations and internal policies that require them to retain content for a minimum period of time. Clients reduce their risk in the event of litigation or a security breach by permanently deleting old content that you’re no longer required to keep. Additionally, our clients share knowledge effectively by ensuring that sers work only with content that’s current and relevant to them.

SharePoint site designs

Our clients learn how they can use site templates and site scripts to provide custom configurations to apply when new sites are created.

SharePoint Guidelines

Clients are also given instruction to create their own custom guidance for SharePoint site owners on how sites are set up and managed in the organization. OUr guidelines provide guidance about what to include, sample text to help get started, and links to resources to learn more.
